A designer running on caffeine, curiosity, and questionable-but-witty ideas, I spend my days (and some nights) creating ads and bringing ideas to life—because since when has 24 hours ever been enough? I love crafting beautiful visuals, especially when they tell compelling stories or make a meaningful difference. Outside of work, I’m lowkey a nerd who loves books, films, and words we don’t even use—like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (which admittedly lives rent-free in my head. cries). This design celebrates Sarawak's natural and cultural heritage through hornbills, a Rajah Brooke's birdwing, Rafflesia, a Terabai and a Sape. Dayak-inspired motifs and typography influenced by Pua Kumbu bring together the many visual languages of Sarawak.

I am Syahrul Azril. A creative designer. I am born and bred in Penang, finding myself working in Kuala Lumpur while bringing the bits of Penang with me. I always find myself fascinated with heritage and pop culture references whenever I need to find inspiration for my artworks. A maximalist when it comes to creative output and how I express myself in my working style. I like observing and learn how certain styles or how the artwork come to life. Would always question myself “Why can’t I came up with that idea?” whenever I saw something mind blowing and it just scratches my brain in the right way.

This design celebrates the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, an enduring symbol of Selangor's architectural and cultural identity. Bold geometric forms, diamond motifs inspired by its iconic dome, and the state's red and royal yellow create a contemporary interpretation of a familiar landmark.

Inspired by historical North Borneo postage stamps, this design brings together Sabah's natural and cultural heritage through the Rafflesia, orangutan and Mount Kinabalu, alongside Linangkit patterns and traditional gongs. Its coastal blue palette reflects Sabah's identity as the “Land Below the Wind”.

Hello, Perak peeps! I'm Muhammad Aqlan Zhafrie, but you can call me Zhaf. My journey into art wasn't exactly straightforward. Hello! I’m Fatin Aqilah, an illustrator who born and raised in Pahang! I specialise in picture book and commercial illustrations, creating artwork inspired by thoughful adventures, local culture and my life in general. My illustrations often feature childlike characters and cute animals, reflecting storytelling through my art. Over the years, this passion has also grown into a range of art products, which can be found in stationery stores across Malaysia. Hey! I'm Husna Zaki, a freelance graphic designer and illustrator from Kedah. Currently, I'm working on branding, logos, advertising, social media content, posters, and pretty much anything design-related. I also do photo and short-form video coverage. But outside of client work, you'll probably find me drawing little characters and lines because that's my favourite part. Noor Hayati, also known as Orkid Yati, is a Malaysian illustrator who has been creating visuals for books, educational materials, infographics, and promotional posters since 2015. With a strong belief that illustration is more than decoration, she approaches her work as a form of visual communication, aiming to make complex ideas clearer, more accessible, and more emotionally resonant. Her illustration combining a gentle, textured aesthetic with purposeful storytelling. While Orkid’s work often features elements of nature and childhood, her portfolio spans a wide range of themes and formats, from playful picture books to clean, professional editorial visuals. Through Garis Silang Studio, Orkid collaborates with clients on projects that require both visual clarity and emotional connection. Her goal is simple: to create illustrations that not only look beautiful, but also speak clearly. (Note: Associated with a Johor project proposal).

Hey there, im Thomas a.k.a Thomasupernova…..I’m a Malaysian illustrator and part-time educator. My illustration work is basically a way for me to process memories and the stuff I grew up with, like Britpop music, video games, comics, the toys and the cartoon characters that shaped my world view. Whether I’m working with ink on paper or going digital, I try to pack a bit of storytelling into the details. Inspired by Tarian Lilin, a traditional dance rooted in Negeri Sembilan's Minangkabau heritage, this design captures performers gracefully balancing candles as they move and spin. The nine rice stalks from the state emblem represent the state's nine districts, bringing together heritage, unity and identity.

Her illustration combining a gentle, textured aesthetic with purposeful storytelling. Through Garis Silang Studio, Orkid collaborates with clients on projects that require both visual clarity and emotional connection. Hello! I’m Fatin Aqilah, an illustrator who born and raised in Pahang! I specialise in picture book and commercial illustrations, creating artwork inspired by thoughful adventures, local culture and my life in general. My illustrations often feature childlike characters and cute animals, reflecting storytelling through my art. Over the years, this passion has also grown into a range of art products, which can be found in stationery stores across Malaysia. I’m delighted to be part of this project and share a piece inspired by the beauty and heritage of my home state, Pahang.

Inspired by Pahang's natural beauty, this design centres on the elephant, the state animal, alongside the Sungai Pahang and rainforests of Taman Negara. The green and royal yellow palette reflects the state's rich ecosystems, natural heritage and the river that sustains its people and wildlife.

Inspired by historical North Borneo postage stamps, this design brings together Sabah's natural and cultural heritage through the Rafflesia, orangutan and Mount Kinabalu, alongside Linangkit patterns and traditional gongs. Its coastal blue palette reflects Sabah's identity as the “Land Below the Wind”.

Noor Hayati, also known as Orkid Yati, is a Malaysian illustrator who has been creating visuals for books, educational materials, infographics, and promotional posters since 2015. With a strong belief that illustration is more than decoration, she approaches her work as a form of visual communication, aiming to make complex ideas clearer, more accessible, and more emotionally resonant. Her illustration combining a gentle, textured aesthetic with purposeful storytelling. While Orkid’s work often features elements of nature and childhood, her portfolio spans a wide range of themes and formats, from playful picture books to clean, professional editorial visuals. Through Garis Silang Studio, Orkid collaborates with clients on projects that require both visual clarity and emotional connection. Her goal is simple: to create illustrations that not only look beautiful, but also speak clearly. (Note: Associated with a Johor project proposal).

About the Design
This design reflects Johor through symbols of architecture, craftsmanship and agriculture. Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim, the traditional gambus and the pineapple come together in a visual story of the state's heritage, landscape and living traditions.

Hello! I’m Fatin Aqilah, an illustrator who born and raised in Pahang! I specialise in picture book and commercial illustrations, creating artwork inspired by thoughful adventures, local culture and my life in general. My illustrations often feature childlike characters and cute animals, reflecting storytelling through my art. Over the years, this passion has also grown into a range of art products, which can be found in stationery stores across Malaysia. I’m delighted to be part of this project and share a piece inspired by the beauty and heritage of my home state, Pahang.
